Thanks. If I let her on the other side of the gate, which I am doing most of the time she just goes and lays down. Every so often she will come back by me and whine then go lay down. She woke me up at 5 this morning shaking so much. But in a few minutes I heard the thunder. So I put on her thundershirt and made sure the closet door was open (she seemed to like to be in there the other day when it thundered. Within 5 minutes I didn't hear or see her. I went to the closet and she had climbed to the back hiding in the corner. It's a walk in closet. I but the soft crate in there to see if she would settle down in it. I woke up at 8:30 and she wasn't anywhere I could see her. She normally flies to my side the second she knows I am awake. I went looking for her and she was sleeping in the crate in the closet. So hopefully, she has found a safe spot she can go to during storms. But first thing she did after getting up and going out to go potty was whine to go on the otherside of the gate. I let her go and she laid down on the front hall rug. Thanks for all the suggestions. I don't think it is any noise or animal as the other 2 are much more attuned to animals in the yard and they are fine.. At the Er vet they kept her in back with them for 3 hours and did all the check up back there. The records show they went over everything. The pain medicine and the metacam make no difference in her behavior which leads me to think she isn't in pain. I've only felt her shiver a couple of times other than during thunder storms. Pixie's skin looks ok. I am going to see how the weekend goes and then talk to her vet about where do we go from here. I will have more extensive blood work done as well. If everything checks put than it may be behavioral. Thanks |
