 Just an Idea
When we were in "puppy school" our trainer touched on this issue in regards to Yorkie behaviors. He said it was "hardwired" and some would always have this behavior. He suggested getting a baby pool, filling it with sand and burying their toys/treats in it. That way they would learn that was their "digging spot" and use it. He had had good success with this intervention and other clients. We never had an issue with Bella digging. So I can't say if it worked by experience. Just an idea you might try. |
