If you go to the www.ytca.org website they will show you some tests that they recommend prior to breeding. It is a minimal list. CERF's/OFA for eyes, and Luxating Patella (LP). Recommends Bats and thyroid, hip dysplasia.

STD's should be tested for; elbow dysplasia, Leggs Perthes, heart. All health problems in the line should be known at least as far back as great grandfather on both sides; plus for the polygenetic conditions you want if possible to know the health status of the siblings from the breeding pair.

For this I mean if a litter was sired by Ch. Mad about Men, to female; Ch How lovely I am.

On the sire's side; you want to know if he is cleared of all the above; Plus if he had brothers or sisters in the litter in which he was borne into, do any suffer from any health concerns; have any been checked for BATS, LS, elbow dysplasia, HD. The same is true for the female.
