Sounds like the actual Zymox med and not the cleaner. That shoudn't be used long term as far as I know. E's vet does 10-14 days for her with it. I like it quite a bit.
It's probably clearing some yeast that was causing the smell. Not a bad idea although it may come back. As long as the vet thinks everything looks good in there, you may go in circles with this... Hard to get rid of it permamently.
