I think it'd be easier for her to get the scrunchies out of her hair, so I'd start with the tiny rubber bands and see how she does. I really use the scrunchies at bedtime or to prevent breakage. Since she has never had a topknot and you won't have exactly the same hair line each day until more of it grows out, I don't think you need to worry about that just yet. Once you have the band in, I'd distract her with a toy or chew if she wants to mess with it. Most puppies have a pretty short attention span

I guess I'm lucky since neither of mine really had a problem with clothes and bows. The only thing Rory didn't like was a harness, and she'd keep rolling over trying to get it off. We taught her roll over pretty quickly though.
