My dad has a pug that is on steroids for allergies and he is now about 15 lbs overweight, which we all know is unhealthy so they are working very hard to get the weight back off him. Because of this weight gain when the vet diagnosed my dog with food allergies we refused the steroids and instead monitor her diet to keep her allergies under control. When Gabby was diagnosed with her allergies she had been eating the same food for about 10 months before it started bothering her & she began getting the same symptoms u described along with itchy ears. We were told that foods with a slew of ingredients (meat, veggies, and grains) are not good for dogs with food allergies, so I would def do more research on what she's eating, if this is your baby's problem, medications may not be necessary, just a change in her diet. Also she could just have dry skin & VET Solutions shampoo is great for that! |
