I agree with the others. The groomer can accidentally cut the quick also. I don't think anyone else would be more careful with their own baby than you. I have 3 Maltese too. With the white nails the quicks show through as the pink thicker part. Some dogs have longer quicks than others. Just take off a little at a time. I use human nail clippers on the tips, then my husband grinds them with the dremmel just enough so they are smooth. Taking breaks and treats are great tips. Celebrate after each foot if you need to take the pressure off you and her. |
