China's dog-fur (and cat fur) industry is
huge, cruel, and very cheaply sold.
{WARNING: cruelty info} This will hurt some people to read, however, it's important to realize just how cruel the industry is in China (and elsewhere): they skin dogs while they are still alive so that there is less damage to the coat/fur. After the dog is skinned (meaning, the entire coat is ripped from their body) - it is tossed into a pile and left there...whether dead or alive. Many are still alive
. There is video footage of this act, but I don't advise searching for it unless you think you're truly able to live w/ the memory.
