Never any dumb questions! Actually I can't answer this... it all depends on when the flies lay their eggs, and if they all come off in the bath (it only takes one), and how long it takes from the time the eggs are laid till the larvae reach the dog's skin.
BTW: I live right beyond the city limits, maybe 5 or 10 minutes out.
