Just wanted to let you guys know....
This morning my mom woke me up that she was rushing Romeo to the vet because he was puking and pooping blood/mucus and he wouldn't stop... I said bye to my baby incase anything would happen because I had to go to class because I had finals this week and I couldnt miss
it was horrible to not be able to go with him... I cried my whole way to class cause I was soo worried about my baby...
So anyways, he gets to the vet and they test his stool sample and its all fine.. no worms, no parasites..nothing. My mom told them to do whatever tests they had to do to figure out what was wrong... they gave him a blood test.. the results came back his potassium was low and they thought that he might possibly have hypokalemia so they had to put my little man on an iv for about 15 minutes and my mom said he cried the entire time
THANK GOD the test came back negative! His bloodwork was all perfect... everything else was fine...
The vet is thinking that he has a sensitive Gastrointestinal track... they put him on special intestine dog food and we're gonna go from here.. if it doesnt get better then he is going to get a biopsy done of his intestine..
romeo is home and doing fine so far.. he is always playful and it was sooo good to see him tonight after a long 10 hours at school ...thank you all so much for your sweet thoughts and prayers <3
