I was told by my vet that it is always a good idea to bring home a new puppy that is the opposite sex. They are suppose to get along better.. I agree that it can take time for the female yorkie to adjust. She might just be trying to be the alpha dog> When the female yorkie does show acceptance I would reward her with a small treat every time she does not growl or snap. I would also protect the male puppy from any type of aggression. Such as never leaving them alone together even when home . Is the female spayed?
