The fat content in any pork product for dogs is high. So, it COULD add weight to your baby. Also, within the past 2 years there was controversy about the possibility of salmonella.. To me the reason we would give a Yorkie something like that is to help keep them from chewing or to help them when teething and such. Cutting it in small pieces would not serve those purposes and would anly add fat calories to their diet. JMO
Years ago I had a larger Yorkie who loves rawhide and she was an only child so I didn't have to worry about young ones getting choked. One evening my hubby wearing his fav dark brown cord pants, got up to walk out of the room. He does not have the wildest sense of humor and did not appreciate it when I started howling with laughter. Stuck on the butt of his pants was a gooey 3X3 inch piece of rawhide. They are not in our house anymore!! I still laugh when I think about it..
