Since joining this forum, I've been really saddened by the lack of vet care available to animals and lack of funding towards vet med care in general compared to human medicine. My husband and I have been kicking around ideas about a foundation to help pet owners in need care get vet care for animals and/or some way to start getting more attention to vet med so that more research dollars could go towards finding more effective ways of treating conditions in canines that already exist. It just seems like the ppl in vet care have their hands tied a lot due to funding issues. It has to be frustrating.
Does anyone have any ideas? I know we have a wide range of backgrounds here, so I was hoping ppl might have some ideas of how to accomplish these goals - if they are even possible!
