I have a question on which is better - microchipping or a tattoo?
My concern is with a chip it is not visable or obvious, so if you lose a pup and someone finds him/her and decides to keep the baby and takes it to a vet and doesn't reveal that this was a find not a buy then there is no reason a vet would think to check for a chip.
Where as if there is a tatoo it is more visable and likely to be found and then there may at least be a question or two asked of the person which may reveal something to the vet.
I don't know we have three yorkies that have neither and was just looking for any advice on the subject.
