I have one of each. For me, it is true that the male has been more affectionate, but that could be due to differences in their individual personalities.

I say pick which ever one your heart tells you to. Just go in with your eyes open and keep in mind that at 5 weeks, they are already displaying their personality type.

BTW- keep in mind that most experts agree that toy breeds should be kept with their mothers for a minimum of 12 weeks to learn proper social skills. Longer may be necessary if the pup is on the extremely small side.
