Tia is going through this right now too. EXACTLY as you have described. She has "grey" coming in on her head, and really just looks like she is going bald. She finally gets a bath tonight, I had to wait awhile after the flea treatment and I'm hoping that may help fluff her up a bit.
I'm hoping her coat will end up pretty, she is indeed in that "ugly duckling coat" stage - 4 months old
