Look now! Many pups are spoken for before they are even born, as breeders have waiting lists.
It takes time to schedule appointments to go meet breeders & parents.
My kids bought my puppy for me as a gift, and they spent a few months visiting breeders on the weekend before they finally found what they wanted, only to discover the breeder didn't like the idea of a puppy as a surprise gift, so requested that they talk to me first to be sure it's actually what I wanted. They came home from college the following weekend to talk to me about it and by the time they got back with the breeder all pups were already spoken for. My daughter was especially devastated. Then she got a voice mail later that day while in class, and the breeder decided to sell the female pup she had planned on keeping for herself. That is how I got my ZoE
