I figured that Toby would be afraid of the fireworks this past July 4th, but he actually watched the show. You could see him move his head up as they shot off and then watched the explosions. I didn't hear any last night, so I don't know what he would do if he just heard loud bangs and pops. We had a German Shepherd when I was a kid that was deathly afraid of fireworks and thunder. She would jump in a car that had the window partway down, crawl underneath a car, or try to get inside and go down in the basement.
