I have a couple of questions (please)
I am crazy about yorkies and so happy I found this forum! I have a 2 year old female yorkie and she was always attached to my husband so much that she wouldn't ever sit or cuddle with me for more than a few minutes - then she would try to run back to be next to him and whine if tried to keep her on my lap.
I just decided to get a male yorkie this past Tuesday and so far he is bonding to me. I worked from home his first week here so that I could spend quality time with him and now I am happy because he loves to be with me.
The problem is: Daisy - my 1st yorkie growls and will try to snap at the puppy when he comes near her. He is so friendly and affectionate and he wants to be by her but she wants NOTHING to do with him, and now she wants nothing to do with me. It's like she is so mad at me that she ignores me! She won't even look when I call her name! She acts like an ICE QUEEN when I try to kiss and show her affection!!
She is now even more clingy with my husband and acts repulsed by me! LOL. I didn't realize she could be such a "bee-otch" .
Anyway, I know she has to learn to adjust to him and the new 'situation' but will she ever? I wonder how long this will take. It seems like she HATES me with a passion!

The other question is, when I finally have to go back to work (bummer) I hate leaving my new puppy, will the new puppy now bond with my husband because he is home and laid off (electrician), and will spend more time with him than I can? Then, I will be hurt again. (Not hurt, but just a little jealous). I know I will still feed him and take care of him every chance I get, but my husband will definitely have more quality time! Oh, this situation stinks.
If that happens I am getting rid of the husband!! LOL
