My mom and I live 3 blocks from one another in a subdivision type area of a relatively small city. We are always on hawk-watch. We saw a redtail hawk just the other day hovering above about a mile away and warned each other about it. My mom has 3 yorkies and a maltese along with a lab...and I have the 5 yorkies and a cairn terrier. All of which would make a lovely meal for a hungry hawk. It has happened in this are before and we are not taking any chances!
