That is Wonderful!!!! My Riley was the Same Way...I got him at about 10-weeks old. He is pad trained and will also go outside. He picked up the pad training immediately.... I used one of the purina stay at home doggie litter boxes with a pad in it..... and he will jump in it and go......and when I took him to the vet for his vaccinations and told her that she told me to keep in mind that their bladders aren't fully formed until they are about 16-weeks..... so the reason he was doing so well was because he was smart.
He did have a few accidents in the first week...but not many, at all..... but it was almost like those accidents Had to happen so that he knew where in the house... [on the pad....] he was able to go.
