Accidents can happen, groomers are working on moving clients who aren't always cooperative. The fact that they had it taken care of and told you about it is good- if it was my dog I would have told them in the future, I would expect to be called right away- not just told when I picked my dog up. But otherwise it sounds like they did the responsible thing.
