I am faced with the same problem you have with the heat. My problem is that Sophie's hair is very thick, cottoney AND is now developing a distinct kink to each hair. She looks like a wooly mammoth when it gets any length on it. After having shaved pretty short a while back it is now in the stage of being basically a longish puppy cut and everybody thinks she is getting fat! She is NOT fat she is Fluffy!!
She will be shaved down this weekend.
