I give him the Kong earlier in the evening, probably around 5 p.m. I keep him in a fenced in area during the day with his house, food/water, toys, and doggie litter box. Normally I leave him in there unless we're playing. At nighttime I usually let him sleep in his house (he normally wakes up and wants to come get in my bed), then I get him and put his crate next to my pillow and he sleeps there the rest of the night. For the past week, I've been very slack....and let him get out of the crate around 4 a.m. Perhaps I should keep up with him staying in there the entire time.
