There are several active threads going around about dogs and fireworks. There's a dog in South Carolina that took off because of them and is still lost. Eddie is terrified of them. I had to come home from work last night when he hid under the bed shaking and refused to come out for the mother in law.

When same mother in law was watching him over last Fourth of July, he took off for the only time in his life and returned, terrified, four hours later.

Someone suggested playing music or the TV loud to distract them and give them lots of hugs.
