Went to the ortho this morning. You know it's really bad when the ortho surgeon walks in the room, introduces himself and the first thing he says is "OUCH, that doesn't look right." What the latest set of xrays revealed was that the distal tibia break(s) never healed, which means I've been walking around on a broken leg for almost 4 years. That's the most likely reason why the titanium rod broke. At least I know that I'm not just a weenie-wus whiney complainer about the pain. Today they did blookwork, because there is the possibility that I may have a bone infection - oh joy, another worry.
On Monday I go visit yet another ortho surgeon who is a specializes in breaks that don't heal (non union fractures). There is no doubt that surgery is in my very near future, and from the limited research I've done on non-union fractures of the distal blade plate, it won't be pleasant.
I am working as hard as I can to get all outstanding orders out prior to my big day
