The funny thing is, I'm the one who always had the allergies - I always had cats and dogs and put up with it. Cats were particularly bad. I sought out the Yorkie breed for their hypo-allergenic qualities. I feel fine - no problems. However, my husband has been hit hard, and my daughter is having teary eyes and a sore throat that goes away with allergy medicine. My son and I are not affected. I feel absolutely terrible about the situation.
