Yep, it's the cat thing. Jackson got Lymes while on Frontline last year so unfortunately, Advantix is a must for us. I was finding at least 3-5 ticks a week on him. Once I started the Advantix, I found none! Luckily, he does not act any different when I apply it.

However, I use Frontline from October-May and then Advantix from June-September. Since the ticks aren't AS crazy in the colder months (but unfortunately are still around). I tried to stop using any meds in the winter but he still got a few ticks now and then.

We also don't have cats. My dad does but they don't interact with the dogs.
