I am from Northern Virginia. All of our yorkies, Dixie, Daisy, Teddy and Max are microchipped. Max was a rescue yorkie and came to us microchipped. We only had to send in a change of owner name and address. Dixie, Daisy and Teddy were microchipped when they went in for spaying and neutering. At the same time all three had some baby teeth that were removed also. So it was all done at the same time and none of the yorkies had any trouble. We are so happy we had it done, they are always in our fenced in yard however besides having a county license tag that can help to identify them and a nametag on their collar, microchipping is a great assurance that even if they have lost their collar and all tags that they are carrying identification that cannot be removed.
