I was concerned about my Shih Tzu being too thin. So I bought a super high Protein kibble and mixed it in with their regular food. it only took a month for my dog to look better. I gave them Evo red meat, small bites. I have also used a high protein canned food that worked well. remember that the smaller the dog the less they can eat with such tiny tummies. You could try giving the canned on the third meal. I have not seen a dog not eat canned food . Use it for supplemental feedings. I would not reccomend feeding all meals canned.
