I got Princess spayed about 3 months ago at the age of 14 months. She had pain meds for 4 days & was pretty out of it during that time. The first day without any meds she was getting back to her normal, hyper self.

I don't regret doing it at all. It almost feels like a weight off my shoulders, one less thing to worry about. It does sound like a vet issue, I was given pre & post-op instructions to follow to help things go smoothly, it seems like the vet would've done at least that. I also thought it was the norm to use the stitches that don't need to be removed.
