Yes, I agree, it's a lot of time in the crate. Darin's kitchen isn't very big, but maybe he could manage to keep her in there with some kind of fencing. He'll have to experiment. The opening is pretty big between the kitchen and living room, where it's carpeted. It isn't just a doorway. As I said, Sammy can climb an x-pen. She doesn't at my house, but I don't go away and leave her in the kitchen behind the x-pen fence either.
