Default Need some potty training advice.

Hi,

I have a 4 month old female Yorkie pup-'Coco'. I've had her home for a month. From day one, I put down the pee pad. She's at the point now, where I can bring her in the room with the pad, tell her to 'go potty', and she'll do just that. She'll even 'go' without me telling her to. My question is-How do I get her to let me know when she's in her ex-pen (or elsewhere) that she needs to go to the pad??? I put her in a crate when I can't watch her and take her to the pad as soon as she comes out, wakes up, after playing, etc. She's great, as long as I bring her to the pad.

I had a Yorkie for 15 yrs. and she always went to her pad, but I can't remember how I got her to do it in the first place.

Any advice would be so appreciated.

Thanks, in advance.
Pam
