I think it's because my dads dogs are also barkers, and all the excitement of the pool, the cats, the yard, the dogs wandering around by the farm, the four wheelers, etc... luckily, I just have to say his name and he knows he will get a treat if he comes to me. I still have yet to been able to stop him from barking hysterically whenever the side door opens though! Gosh his bark is so high pitched and annoying, lol.
