Brandy's hair is very soft, not corse. It has never been over 2 inches long as we live in a place with very warm weather. If you are really concerned, just cut a little at a time. I actually think I do a better job than the groomers. I keep paying them and then have to even things out when she gets home. I can only assume that my little Brandy girl won't stand still for them and is much more comfortable with me with a pair of scissors and trimmers in my hand than a stranger.
