That is what I do and it has worked well.

Yorkies are prone to oral problems. Requiring dentals every year is very common. Some could really use one every 3-6 months. The anesthesia risk is lower than the risk of letting dental disease get out of control and affect the organs.

That is what I do Crystal.....yet tartar forms within hours. Also....my vet (and
most others I have Googled) say brush OUTSIDE of teeth only. I did this. The result? Brown goo on all of the inner surfaces 2 months later (first time I looked....) !!!
