| Finally a reply Im not sure if anyone is still following this thread but I finally got a reply to me email I sent to this lady.... unbelievable. I just found this email, happened to go into my spam box, which is rare for interested buyers, realizing it was sent some time ago. I'll have to say you are the first negative email, ever, including all my interested buyers and buyers. I am very proud of the fact I offer a 1-year health contract, none of which ever have been needed, and an outstanding record with vet checks. One reason, among many, I can attribute this phenomenal track record is that unlike traditional AKC breeders, who are striving to meet a 'look', I go above and beyond the AKC requirements. I believe 'line-breeding', which is 'in-breeding', is the major culprit yielding congenital defects. Because I strive to 'out-breed', I believe that is the most important factor in maintaining a no-flaw puppy record, among the misuse of immunizations, thus far. (I honestly expected some degree of disgruntled buyers or isolated problems, but seriously, nothing but accolades and referrals from everyone.) I spend so much money on my dogs, buying them and caring for them, that I barely break even. The prices reflect the amount that goes into them. As far as the homes they go to, 'I' should be so lucky. These guys are picked up by chauffeurs, have nannies, have carriers in the thousands, have new vehicles purchased that 'go' with them, and the list goes on. They are babied beyond belief and I 'never' once have encountered buyers that were questionable, in the least. Some have been used in patient-rehabilitation and are the 'star' of the clinics and the doctors treat them as if they were there children. I wish all children could have it this good. Unfortunately, many breeders are in this business for the money (although when one insists on the best of everything as I do, there is VERY little profit) and particularly teacups, and that is why I specifically state on my site that of all scams, dogs are one of the worst, and of all dogs, Yorkies are the worst for scamming, and of Yorkies, teacups are the worst for scamming. Breeding teacups require a knowledge of genealogy (as they are not runts), and I have spent thousands of hours researching and working with this subject, as well as immunizations (which vets do not even stock the ones I use - too expensive and have an incredible efficacy rate, as well.) With all my litters, I have only had '2' Caesarians performed, neither of which were due to puppy size, rather a tangled cord within the uterus. Both females and puppies did great, but I have a lower rate of incidence than average breeders. I do warn people, on my site, that the majority of teacups are definitely not bred properly, nor cared for properly, and many of them are flat-out lies, and the buyer ends up very disappointed. It is my goal to make certain that every puppy and buyer are thoroughly happy, for years to come and so far -- so good. That is why I take an unbelievable amount of time with each buyer, each puppy and posting so much information on my site, in hopes to keep people aware of all the nasty pitfalls out there. It appears all my work thus far has paid off. I am a dedicated Christ follower and I treat my buyers with the utmost of respect, as I would want to be treated. Thank you for your comments. Hopefully you'll feel a little less negative, at least towards me, as I can unequivocally state I have not had anyone ask to return a puppy, needed to enforce their legally-binding health guarantee, or even complained -- only positive comments and repeat business and referrals. As far as flying, I 'insist' that all my buyers use Continental, as they have special planes actually made with special areas to accommodate animals, unlike other airlines, accompanied with attendants that fly with the pets and follow instructions to a tee. I even had one pilot hold a plane on the tarmac for 2 hours (after it had been delayed a long time already due to a storm and connecting flight), insuring my teacup made the connection. I never have them fly longer than 3-5 hours, regardless of how far, and I usually am at the airport at 5:00 am, insuring they get on the shortest and most comfortable flight for them. It is very important to me that you know how much I love my babies. They do NOT live in kennels. I am proud I am not a puppy mill and that all my parents and puppies get to live in a loving household that makes them feel loved and special. They have tons of clean beddings, infant toys, the MOST expensive of food, immunizations, best vets, and unfortunately, I do this because I have a passion for it, as I am constantly striving to make enough just to pay house payment, groceries and utilities. My x-husband violated court ordered child support, fled and never gave us/them anything. This business is demanding, but I do love it and just know I 'barely' make ends meet. I agree with you that most teacup breeders (and many other breeders for that matter) get into breeding for the wrong reason - just to make money. God knows our hearts and I pity those who are cruel to animals. Initially, I was SO shocked to find this email, it was upsetting, as it 'is' the one-and-only, ever. I considered that perhaps I shouldn't spend time responding, but since it sincerely is 'the' only one I have ever received, I figure it would warrant the time. For some breeders, the email you sent me may have been warranted, but please know none of these charges apply to me. Thank you for your concern for animals. Karen Karen's Teacups & Yorkies |
