My vet says 6 months and if she has any baby teeth retained, they will pull them. He says if she is chewing on bones.... we shouldnt have any retained. He told me that with yorkies the anesthesia can be a problem that we should run some blood work to see if she can handle it. My vet is great and not only shows me compassion and knowledge but specializes also in dental work. I would just say... Do your homework in finding a vet that deals with smaller breeds and possibly dental work as well. Good luck
