I don't know if you have tried the Maden brush yet but that may be another one to try. Mine were too used the the CC brush that they still like it but the Maden one did work on the matts and they come in different ones for the type of coat. Jenny, (Mimimomo) is a member here and she sells them and can probably help answer some of your questions.
