I'm sorry your Tyler has been diagnosed with CKD. I know how overwhelming this can be. My Jack is 6, he's dealing with the same diagnosis. I found a lot of help at K9kidney. It's a forum you have to join. They have a lot of info in their files and they are there to help with questions. Here's the link....

Dogaware is also a great site with a lot of info in one place...

The fluids are quite expensive to order on line because of the weight. It's best to get them locally. You can get them at a lot of pharmacies. I've heard Costco is good and you don't have to be a member there to use the pharmacy. Sometimes it's best to go in rather than talk to a person on the phone. It's good to have the NDC numbers with you, they are identifier numbers for manufactured products.....

A case usually runs anywhere from $25 up to $40. I just get mine at the vet. He charges the $40, but Jack is so small a case last about 7 months. My vet charges $5 for one line, which is outrageous. I get my lines from Thriving Pets and/or Med Vet for $1-2 each I also get my needles there, it's way cheaper and I don't need a prescription for those items. You do need a prescription for the fluids.

I highly suggest that you do some reading at the above links. I've had two different vets treating Jack and all they suggested was prescription food, which was horrible, and drugs to address medical issues. By going to the above links I found there is so much more you can do to help treat this condition. Supplements are just one of the suggestions along with phosphorous binders (when needed) are so helpful.
I hope this is of some help......I wish you all and Tyler all the best.....
