I used to have 1000 which is what has created the problem. I got a 1000 back but then when i uncreased the avatar sie admin said the system wouldn't let me have 1000 messages and the larger capacity message box so it was reduced to 500.

I don't know about the 20 thing. I am trying to get into a habit of cleaning them out more and downloading the ones I want to keep to my computer.
