I agree...
Yorkies are so little and they may seem so athletic and able to jump high and all but it is really not good for them and can cause injuries and possibly arthritis later in life. Stairs to get onto furniture is a good idea.
I once read that they shouldn't jump onto or off of anyhthing that was higher than their shoulder which seems a little extreme but is some guideline. A couple of mine are training in agility and I know the jumps are a little higher than that so....I don't know.
