I use interceptor- my vet said this was the safest for small breeds, we had always used heartguard growing up. So far I have been using it non stop for four years and have never had an issue, plus they get tested every year- so I plan to stick with it.

I had considered switching to a pill that covered both heartworms and fleas for the warmer months but I am too scared to have a possible reaction.
