I've tried them all and by far my favorite is glass.

The plastic (while not a good choice anyway because it can cause contact dermatitis) stained up too easily. The storage feeder plastic dish was okay though.

We got a ceramic bowl and it picked up this really weird odor. Couldn't even bleach it is. It was nothing we had put in there, so not sure what was up with it. That got thrown away.

Stainless steel was, ahn, okay. I don't like what having water in it tends to do to the inside over time. Just really didn't like it.

Finally just started using the little Pyrex glass bowls. Perfect size for Yorkies. Six bucks for a package of four. To stop them from sliding around, I put one in each side of a bone shaped ceramic dish so she just mainly eats out of the glass.
