OH MY. That IS disgusting. But, don't despair, you are not alone! My pretty princess used to like to eat my Westie's poop when she first got home!
Now, she limits herself to trying to grab a piece of goose poop on our walks.
If she's a puppy, this may resolve on it's own. Just be sure to have them up where she can't get to them for now.
