I confess.....This is a situation which I just do not understand.

During the time I spent in Texas I spent time in Grapevine near Dallas and Fort Worth.

I saw the damage and heart ache a twister caused and it is not a nice thing to see at all.

It did cross my mind at the time how few homes or work places actually had a shelter where people could take refuge when one of these lethal things hit.

Only one of the many houses we visited had a shelter the other people did not seem concerned about it at all.

Can any of you explain to this Englishman why every home does not have a storm shelter to protect people from a twister. ??

Surely it would save lives.
