Is this just normal puppy behavior? Our original yorkie was tiny and Fry would not play with him. He was very bonded to me and spent a lot of time laying on my lap or playing a game of fetch with me.
Do you all have any thoughts? Tips? It's been awhile since we've had a young puppy in the house. I'm not sure if I'm overreacting to normal puppy curiosity and energy or if I should do more to ensure a strong bond is formed during our first few months together. He is around 15 weeks old as of May 25.

Sounds like a post I could have written word for word. Same issue. The new baby (Jazi) would rather play with my 3 yr old Cairn...who isn't really interested. I try to take advantage of her loving hour which is about 10 pm when she's totally exhausted and wants nothing other than to sit in my lap and sleep before her 11pm trip outside for potty before bed.
Izi...(the Cairn) was an only fur-child so we're joined at the hip and she is a little jealous but is gentle and loves Jazi.
