the other thing that I got 2 days after Hot Rod arrived was a baby monitor. I know, sounds weird, but the was in his crate downstairs and I wanted to make sure I heard him if he needed to potty.
It broke my heart but at the same time made me feel much calmer. The first couple of nights he whined and cried but then I could hear him settle down. I was much calmer because I knew I could hear him if he needed to potty.
