I'm sure they would work well if my dogs would use them. They use their pads just fine ut when I bought a pad holder, they just whined and peed beside it. They would not go on it. I put them on it, put a used pad in it, still they wold not voluntarily step on the pad in the holder and definitely would not pee on it.

I gave up and it is in the garage. I got mine at Walmart. It is just like the one pictured in the Amazon ad except beige instead of the bluish color. I think Walmart was higher in price too! I was disappointed that they would not use it because I do get that pee on the edge problem where I wind up having to clean up the floor almost every time I change a pad. The problem is much less when I use the larger pads. But the holder would be so nice if I did not have such stubborn pups!!
