I agree this season was not the best, though I only watched the last 3 season I believe in "real time".
I've always thought that Tom was a whiner, but it seems like Lynnette would have been more supportive of him finally getting his life together. I just think she is too controlling & wants to dominate over him & the household (maybe because she's had to for so long) and I think he let the success go to his head.
While their family is probably the one closest to reality on "the Lane"
I really don't care for them too much. I think they both whine & fight too much and a split will do them some good. But it's prob just to juice up the finale, my guess is things will be worked out next season.
